If Mylot moderators do this...

I think it would be nice to know how many people are acually still using mylot but I think the process would be to complicated to be practical really. Mylot has new people joining and others quitting everyday. There are also people who join but then never post. It would be way too hard to keep accurate numbers. Another thing would be how to know for sure that these inactive members are truly gone and not just unavailable for awhile. There would have to be a long time limit and possibly some type of messaging system in place to know for sure and tthat would be a lot of work for administration considering how many members aare inactive. Besides all of that boasting about 109,116 member sounds better for the site than only having a few thousand members. I don't think there are really that many active users here. I just broke into the top 600 "users by rating" with only 1803 (1804 including this post). If that list did include every member (which it doesn't) that would mean that only 595 or so members out of 109,116 have posted more than me except that there were over 75,000 members already when I joined. When you think about all of that you'll quickly see that most of the people who sign up don't stay active.
