I guess the very advantage I have is, me and my friends are all intact. We all get to see one another every weekend, since we just live near with one another. Eventhough that others already have families to tend on, jobs to work at, we still have time to see one another and celebrate atleast the time we are all together.
We mostly use landlines, internet messaging or mobile phones to get a hold of each other everytime we would want to have a chat..

I do a little of all. My family is spread across the country, so the internet is a huge way for me to keep in touch. But I call my mom and my daughter every day via cell phone. We all have verizon so its free to do so. My son is the only grandchild of my inlaws so I try to send pictures in the mail or call them at least once a week to keep them up on what he is doing.
BTW, this post earns me my star!! woot

Like you, terrych, I use a variety of ways to keep in touch with my friends and family.
I use the internet and emails a good bit, but I also like to send letters and cards from time to time. I also use the telephone a good bit, and every once in a while, when I can, I will stop in to see my friends and family.

I keep in touch with my people via internet and phone..!
some times with letters also!!
Yes those traditional letters. Well some of my family friends live where their phone often doesn't works..!!
So the last option is letters. There is my aunt who almost live all alone. And she often complains to me that no body talks to her. SO I make it sure that I send her a letter every month to keep in touch with her.
And to some people I do make some STD calls once or twice a month!!
I like keeping myslef connected!!

Hi terrych,
I have a lot of family members and friends that are far away and I use many ways to communicate with them. I use email, the telephone, and I write letters as well. I also send thank you cards as my family often send little gifts for my daughter!
Your Friend, PurpleTeddyBear!

One of my friends moved away a few years ago. At first we talked everyday. Then she stopped calling me back. I went to visit he and one night she went to another friends house while i was still there. We were good friends but i guess long distance friendships just sometimes dont work out.

Most of the time, I keep in touch with my frineds thru chat, either thru orkut or GTalk.. These two are the best ways to stay in touch with ur buddies who are far off from u.. Otherwise, I always keep in touch with my family and friends who are living nearby thru my cellphone, either by calling them or texting..

It's a toss up between email, instant messaging and my cellular phone.
I always make it a point to purchase a card for those I care about on occasions such as birday, anniversary, etc. And sometimes I see a card or gift that reminds me of someone and I will drop it in the mail to them...just because.

That is reall good question for me right now.I just move from all my family and friends many kilometers away and I miss them so much. But I am trying to be daily in touch throught the internet , specially writing emails and calling through the skype. Also i am writing letters with my mum and dad, we are talking on the phone 2 times a week, but they still are writing me letters. They just love this simple option of communication.

Usually I give my parents a ring because they dont use the computer in daily life.I communicate with my friends on the internet or send messages on the phone. All of them are fast and convenient. But sometimes I write a letter to my best friend because both of us like express feelings on paper.
