I'm planning our first Thanksgiving away from our parents. I've never cooked Thanksgiving dinner before.. We decided that we are going to have a few of our friends over due to the fact that everyone is away from their homes and don't have a lot of family, if any, in the area. In total, it will be about 20 people. So.. does anyone have any good recipes for Thanksgiving dinner? We are not going go have turkey because I'm not a huge fan of turkey.. but we are having ham. And we are definetly going to have dressing/stuffing. So does anyone have anything that would go good with that and feed about fifteen to twenty people?

I think yams would be good. Either get the fresh ones in the produce section and bake them like potatoes or use the canned ones. The canned ones you can bake and cover with mini marshmallows the last few minutes.
Mashed potatoes and gravy or potato salad go good with ham.
Don't forget the dinner rolls and cranberry sauce. Those go good with ham, too.
