Woman sues Apple for one million dollars

So I was reading in the news today about a woman. Apparently she is filing a lawsuit Apple, and possible AT&T (they weren't clear on that one) for one million dollars. Apparently it's because when Apple cut the cost of there 8 gig Iphone, they also did away with the 4 gig IPhone altogether. So now she is seeking one million because of price discrimination. Apparently her argument is that because Apple cut the prices on the other phones, she won't be able to resell hers for a profit. Ok first off I always thought I was good at math, but apparently not, because when I add up the supposed money she is losing from this, it falls a tad short of one million, as she feels is justified. I mean seriously, if she is gonna sue, try and make it a frekin reasonable amount. And second, so you can't sell your phone for a profit,a or even a return. TOUGH!!! Deal with it you stupid $%^&. That's how life works. I don't expect to go buy something and then turn around and sell it for the same price down the road. I mean under that logic, I should be able to sue Dell because they came out with a better computer a month after I bought mine, and all the prices proceeded to drop on older ones. The lawsuits in this country are getting beyond ridiculous. I don't know if people actually think they are going to try and get rich quick without actually earning the money, or if they just want to get fifteen minutes of fame. Either way it needs to stop. All it is doing is slowing down progress, and letting these bottom feeder lawyers who take on this crap prosper. (Yes you know who you are) This is just as bad as the woman who spilled hot coffee on herself and sued McDonald's, or the woman who put her cat in the microwave because the instructions didn't tell her she couldn't. Or my personal favorite the woman who tripped over her own out of control child in a store, and broke her leg and sued the store. She won that by the way. No these people need to be taken somewhere and beaten for wasting people's time, and bringing the IQ of the world down just a tad. And what's even worse if when some of these freaks win, then it just gets even worse. A little strong. Comments? One way of the other, feel free to throw your voice in.

It really makes me and I am sure others wonder how easy it must be to become a judge. A lot of these rediculous claims actually get rewarded in a court of law. The newest one I think is a joke and no im not putting anyone down here. Is the news that I heard about a group of people suing Target because there website is not accessible to the blind. I may not be all technically savvy here but is that possible? If so maybe I should sue someone because I cant figure out how to get around some of these websites and find what I need. Maybe I am totally wrong and there is a way for the blind to access websites but why just target?

I believe that there are programs that blind people can use to use computers. I'm not sure about the net, but frick, I don't think it says anywhere that a company is required to cater to a particular group of people. Granted it's a good practice for your business, but I fail to see how anyone can sue over it.

Hehe, I still think that the one with the thief sueing the family in which he broke in is the best. He fell through the window and hit a knife on the counter and sued for damages... :D

I'm afraid so. I remember hearing about that. He got something like $6k out of it. Not millions mind you, but way more than her should have given that he robbed the place.

Oh yes I think this is totally ridiculous too! People are so lawsuit happy anymore and it is ridiculous. Wasn't there also a guy who sued McDonalds because he gained a bunch of weight from eating their food? Uh Duh! Of course you're gonna gain weight, the food is fattening. Total ignorance if you ask me. I think the people who do these things are really dumb, just my opinion. They need to get a life! :)

Hey that's a good one. I bet no one thought of that. Or how about how I can't sell my gamecube for nearly as much as I was able to last year, because the Wii has dropped the price on them. I think I want Nintendo to compensate me for it.

Sometimes, I wish I were an American living in the US. I might try and get rich by filing lawsuits against any individual or establishment for any reason I can conjure up - causing me hurt, belittling me, denying my rights or making me lose money. When I can achieve success in winning a lawsuit, I will "fire" my boss and retire for good...LOL. On the other hand, someone else might try the same thing on me, and if he/she is successful in suing me, I will certainly become an overnight bankrupt! Don't try to be mean here, just taking a potshot at the ridiculous lawsuit situations that are happening nowadays, especially in America. I feel there are many opportunists out there trying their luck at amassing a fortune at other people's expense.

first of all that b!+tch should know by now, things that are made soon get replaced by bigger and better than the last(look at the ever changing ipod). And of course that causes price changes. I agree that lawsuits are getting more pointless. maybe if the the gov. started taxing their earnings.......
