What are the reasons why you miss to attend the Sunday Mass?

I'm a Catholic and we do attend mass on Sundays. But as I get busier each day, because of the stress I got from work on weekdays, oftentimes I just want to lie down on my bed and rest for the whole Sunday. Sometimes I catch this Sunday TV Mass, but of course can't possibly have communion there.
Maybe you have some motivations for me not to miss another Sunday Mass.

After reading and carefully understanding the Bible, I have stopped attending sunday masses on church. I have seen lots of those church-workers and goers do this for just a show, then later on curse and do those sinful deeds.
I prefer to listen to what the Bible says, pray according to what is written and practice my faith in my only God and not with those man-made images which they put in altars....

by the way you talk, i can see that you have truly understood those verses in the bible that you came across with, raijin. i also know about those church goers and workers who are doing those things which you have pointed out. however, as per personal behaviour, we'd better not be affected by it. it is only natural for some people to be that imperfect. if you will have a good talk with them, that is, if you have some friends who are like that, you will understand that these are the self righteous ones. it is best for us to stick to the rules and the laws that God has laid down for us to follow rather than allowing ourselves to be affected by those people around us who are not good influence ones.
yes, i love the line you have written which says that you prefer to listen to what the bible says and to pray in a manner as what is written in the bible. how i wish that i can share this bible study our church is conducting from day to day, raijin. i wonder if we have a branch in your home country and in your place in particular.

i used to be a catholic, so this will rest assure you that i understand what it is that you are driving at.
at this time however, i belong to a much smaller congregation and the promulgation of the church laws is very strict. all the members are made to understand that we are, per our obligation to God, obliged to attend sunday services without misses unless we are too sick to be around on that day. we were also made to understand that we are to put God ahead of everything else. thus, this knowledge about our religious obligations has caused me never to be absent in the chapel on important occasions for, as long as, i am bodily capable of doing so.

Hi there my friend, thanks for dropping by on my post here!;)
I also used to belong to a church group, a youth group to be exact. It's name is also an important, yet ignored part in the bible. The group is "antioch" (from the name ANTIOQUIA), which is the place where the very first followers of Christ were called Christians. I've been attending meetings before, but I haven't been much active in it since Pasig City is very much far away from Cavite (where I am living right now).
I also observed that those who organized it are not that focused into it, they are all half-hearted in devoting their time with Him. From priests, to those seniors who assists and teach us about the Bible.

Hello, Want2! I also experienced to be timid to attend mass because am busy, am not feeling well, and other excuses. But as I observed my life, am full of trials nowadays. It seems that my faith in Him is being tested. Although I don't forget to call him every now and then in a day, I now feel a certain vacuum in my life because before, I don't miss Sunday Masses. What if you will place in your mind that this is your last chance to pay a visit in God's house, are you not motivated to go and attend Mass? We don't know the next seconds of our life, so do it!!!!! This is what I did and I feel there are changes now in my life.....!
