Hello!
.....
Holiday season is coming...well, that's not what my discussion is all about..*hehe*.
Excess baggage-luggage do you always carry them with you? Everytime you go traveling whether long distance or short distance do you always carry more stuff than you think you'll be needing?
Do you take with you more clothes? shoes? accessories? others?
.....
I do always. LOL!! Everytime I travel I always carry a lot of stuff with me. I will look like i'm carrying my whole closet or that i'm leaving for good. LOL!! The last time I went to Philippines I had to pay a hell of a lot for my excess baggage..it was a waste of money as I ended up not using most of my clothes. I'm always like that actually and every time it happens to me, i'll promise to myself that i'll be good next time and carry less but still end up doing it again.
I bring with me more clothes and shoes, thinking maybe i'll wear this one, or i'll be invited in some party, LOL! it's always maybe..but I always end up wearing my mother's clothes and my clothes half used. And every time we travel as a family my brother and father would always comment that I have the heaviest luggage of all. LOL!!
.....
Are any of you guys like that?
Take care *smile*

I have a large bag that I take along on large trips, and a medium sized bag. My husband is always telling me, I don't need all that, so I usually take what I think he thinks I need. The trouble is that when we get to our destination, I needed more.
Like when we went across Canada, I found the weather was warmer than what I expected to be, so I needed to take along some summer clothes, but I only had my fall clothes. So next time, I will not listen to him and take what I consider I need. By the way, he took along five changes of shirts and slacks while I took along three slacks, and two t=shirts. So who takes alongthe most luggage now?

If it weren't so difficult travelling by public transportation here, I probably would bring my whole closet along with me wherever I go. Hehehe... that's a joke. That's really quite difficult to do. Whenever I go out, I try to carry as little as I could in my purse so it wouldn't be a hassle when transferring from jeepney to jeepney or bus to bus or trike to trike. Besides, there are a lot of snatchers around, and if I walked around in a big bag, I wouldn't notice that my bag had been slashed already. I had that experience one time I carried a big bag so I decided to carry small bags so I could easily get a grip of all my stuff while walking around, especially in crowded places.

Ohh, that was such a bad experienced you had with you baggage. Yeah, that's the hassle part carrying a lot especially when you have to tranfer to another transportation or have a long trip. I've learnt my lesson from my last flight, hopefully this time i'll keep myself from packing too much! LOL!!

I remember my father doing that back then, especially when his co-workers would want to send somethng on their loved ones through him. But he refrained from doing it, since he carries too much excess baggage and that it is causing him too much expenses. So he know carries what he would mostly need, since it's his pocket that's full of those 'excesses." LoL

yeah, that happens all the time if you're working abroad..your friends asking favor for you to send some things to give to their families, but so far none of my friends had asked me to. If they will, i'll say yes depends if it's not heavy or i'll ask them for payment! LOL!!! ganun!! Wow, father's pocket is full of excesses...I bet he gave you some. no? *hehe*

Carrying excess baggage is always good from one side, but not always good i think. Try to take the enough luggage with you when u r traveling around and make a habit to pick up your luggage yourself, so that no one will think you have so much luggage.

LOL my daughter is like you. As for my, I really like to travel light. If I could still afford it I would probably do what sometimes we did with my parents where we didn't really take much and then we would buy new clothes and things in location if we wanted. After all, often we would end up buying new stuff anyways even if we took a lot with us :)
Of course my life is different from what it was and I can't afford to do that, but i still don't like to carry too much luggage behind me.

lol I wonder if it would be less hassle and less expensive to just but thoose things there if you need them. I don't over pack. I don't have a lot so even if I pack all my clothes I still only have one large suit case.

I've thought about that actually after what happened. When they told me how much I have to pay for the excess baggage I was shocked and wanted to open my suitcase and unpack all my things right there...if it wasn't an embarassing thing to do I would have done it...LOL!!! Take care!
