Why do people offer links and don't bother?

I've found some discussions from mylot members about making money online. These members offered to provide links if requested. Well, I have requested them and have heard nothing back! I asked for the links over a week ago. Do people in here just put these things in and then not bother? If so, why? Just seems ignorant to me - if I offer something, I provide it.

Maybe the money-making site turned out to be a scam that's why he/she didn't get back to you because of shame in admitting that he/she didn't practice good judgment in joining that scam site.

It was more than one person. I responded to a few who offered links. Oh, well, no matter.
