do you need paypal account to start earning on mylot?

i am a new mylot user. i have started understanding and contributing to the discussions. I havent yet signed up for paypal account, but will that affect my earnings. Is it that you start earning only if you have paypal. its shows 0$ still :( i donno why. will it take sometime to actually update and show my earnings? Please help.

Hi! Signing up with Paypal will not affect your earnings here in mylot or any other paying site. It helps to have a Paypal account only because a lot of sites use it as a mode of payment. Earnings in mylot are updated once daily. Remember, too, that mylot pays depending on the quality of your discussions. If you just post short, non-relevant discussions, then you may not even make a cent out of them. Hope that helps. Welcome to mylot and happy posting.

I joined my lot without having a paypal account.
You only need it when you want to request a payout.

I don't think that you need a paypal account to start earning - only when you want to request to be paid. You can either use paypal or moneybookers to be paid.
The earnings are only updated every 24 hours which could be why it is still $0
