my tips for you:
1. add many friends and reply to their discussions.
2. be friendly and nice to everybody so you will always be rated positively.
3. add interests. start your discussions under a certain interest.
4. respond to all the comments in your discussions as much as possible because it goes on top of your friends' "discussions my friends started" when you do.
5. add tags. it helps in including your discussions to related ones.

oh! thanks for such wonderful tips. right now, i'm still exploring mylot and making myself feel at home and comfortable. and i am really enjoying the discussions here, aside from the fact that the people are so nice and courteous. Again, thanks for welcoming me here.
