The Next Stephen King to Come From Indonesia, China, Or India?

I was watching an Indian writer being interviewed on Australia Network in cable TV. The interview was going well and rather seamlessly until the author's remark, when he told the interviewer the he believes the next Stephen King will come from Indonesia, India or China. I fully respect the Author's opinion but I begged to otherwise disagree with his all knowing forecast. The Philippines is a country of talented English writers. Although English just happened to be the second language of Pinoys, you will find many Pinoy writers who are much better in terms of tenses, usage and
choice of words as compared to native English writers.
Maybe the Indian writer does not still have any knowledge about the Philippines as
his knowledge of Asians having English as their second language are only limited to Indonesia, China and India? Or maybe that the next Stephen King will have his writings in Indian, Chinese or Indonesian? And to be appreciated by worldwide readers? Just asking.

I live in Indonesia. I must admit that our country has not yet used English as the main language in our educational system. It's one of the subjects in schools but the students rarely use them outside school, except in big cities where they have international standard school that they use English mainly. Nevertheless, some Indonesian universities having English faculties are quite popular in Asia. That's what I heard, since I graduated from English Education as well. Several writings by Indonesian people published nationally are using English with correct grammar, rich vocabularies, and organized writing. In my opinion, Indonesian people may actually be the next Stephen King, if they are really able to express themselves more in English writings (with correct grammar, etc) and publish the writings in some international forum. I think that we Indonesian have the ability to that but only given the small scope of publishing zone, and still reluctant to write such writings. Thank you.
