I was laughing my butt off when I was reading this article...
http://motoring.asiaone.com/Motoring/Drivers/Driving+Tips/Story/Signal%252C+for+goodness+sake.html
So, how many of you drivers out there are guilty of the "die die don't signal" behavior indicated in the article?
How many of you drivers out there actually signal your intention when you want to turn or filter into the other person's lane?
How many of you drivers out there actually don't give way when you see someone signaling to turn at the junction?
How many of you drivers out there actually don't give way when you see someone signaling to cut into your lane?
How many of you drivers out there will speed up and refuse to allow anyone to filter into your lane simply because the intention was signaled to you?
How many of you drivers out there actually come face to face with these "die die don't signal" and "die die don't give way" drivers?
How do you feel?
What do you do?
Do you retaliate by do the same to the next driver you encounter in a similar situation?

it is good to hear that you are a conscientious driver.
Not everyone is like that. The few bad apples are really a pain in the butt.
Why is it different with taxi drivers?
They are drivers too... I am sure they also have their fair share of unreasonable drivers.
May I know why? What are some of the lousy experiences you have with taxi drivers?

huh? I dun really catch what you mean.
Do you mean to say you are such a straight driver that you follow all the rule to a Tee?
Do you mean that you are such a straight driver that you obey all the traffic ethics when you are on the road?
Do you mean that you are such a straight driver that you will courteously give way to all the other rude drivers even when you have the right of way?
;p

i always signal and almost always give way to others who signals.
but the giving way part largely depends on where the driver comes from and the reason from wanting to switch lanes.
one of the major contributing factors for jams on our expressways are those 'stupid' drivers who must go right the moment they enter the expressway.
even when the left most lane is clear all the way to timbuktu.
totally cannot understand how these drivers think.
when i come across pple who die die don't signal, i just don't give way loh.
it's quite easy to see their intention of switching lanes from the direction of their gaze.
you'll know they want to come in when their head is slightly turned in your direction. :p
i 'die die don't give way' to pple who 'die die don't signal' or 'die die don't queue'.
that's why my ideal car must be powerful to stop these pple. :D
