Vertical Xbox 360s endanger disks

Yep, what THEY said. I have seen the destruction of a disk thanks to the X-box being put vertical. A guy had the game SKATE in there and his brother moved the x-box and then you could actually hear the disk getting scratched. PS3 on the other hand actually tends to run cooler if you have it vertical; though it works in both positions.

when you keep the xbox upright it only blocks off one vent instead of 2 so this actually reduces your risk. you probably just got red ring from the game. my friend has had the ring twice both times right after putting in a new game.

Yeah what the other guy said, I watched a kid pick up the machine and move it a slight bit while another was playing the game Skate and it destroyed the game.
