I just recently started working from home and am having a hard time juggling between my workload and kids. Just wondering if anyone else has a problem with this? Any suggestions would be great!

I have two work at home business, but both are very flexible so I don't have any problems if something comes up. Are you getting paid well doing this? Is it really worth it to you if you are having a hard time juggling time with kids? All I can say is maybe you should find something new unless the pay is really good then, manage your time the best you can and you may even need a baby-sitter every once in a while for peace of mind.

Hmm...let's see. No, the pay isn't the best but I've been trying to find a way to stay home with the kids for so long now! I'd feel like a quitter, ya know? My husband is self employed, so he helps me out when he can. I think it's just going to take some getting use to!! Thanks for the good advice!

LOL...unfortunately I have to work during the day. I don't have a choice. I work for a company that does verifications. I basically call businesses and schools verifying info that people have on job applications. Not too bad but difficult at times when you have a 9 month old hollering at you. :)

This is a tricky thing -- you want to work from home so you can be with your children yet - you can't work when they around! One thing you want to do is set regular work hours. I know a 9 month old won't understand but as they get older (and we know they grow up fast!) they need to understand what to do when 'mommy is working'. Is there any way your husband can help during certain hours? Another option to see if a teenager can come in for a while. Usually they work pretty cheap :) Our high school offers what we call the DO program. I think that is for Diversified Occupations. The kids get out of school to work. You could look into that as a possibility.
If you would like to check out what I do at home, please visit http://www.iboplus.com/randy I'm able to set my own hours a bit easier than if I were to work for someone else and with AmeriPlan, I own my business.
Good Luck!

My husband helps when he's home but he does all sorts of odd jobs, so I never know when that'll be. Not real easy to plan anything! Good idea about the sitter. That's the main reason why I'm working from home cause I don't want him to have to be in daycare. But having someone come into my home would be a really good idea. Thanks so much for the advise. It's really helpful!!

I can't be of much help as far as the juggling of work and kids. My daughter is now 23 and married. I live alone. I was wondering what kind of work you do at home. I am trying to find something to do at home. I really am beginning to severly dislike my job.
