You are on your way home then suddenly you received a txt message comming from an insurance company saying that you won death insurrance worth $10,000.00. what will you do? Will you go there and check the claim?
I've been a victim of this cellphone scam before. The insurance company said that I am a finalist for the trip to hongkong package and they said that i need to claim the insurance at a particular place. The man gave me the adress and said to bring a valid ID or credit card. Since i have a credit card I went to the place..... Those as..hole are asking for me to buy an insurance grrrrrr.... they took my credit card and ask me that payment can be made via installment plan on card... I was so angry you know what I didd I yelled at the person talking to and started to raise my vioce they said they cannot give me the raffle stubs if I am not going to sign up for the insurance plan they are offering... Gossh .... I told them My card is full hahahaha... they checked it with the Bank and it is confirmed the card is full huh... I told them they waisted my time with this none sense explanation they even asked me to put some names and numbers as a referals... Guys dont believe in this kind of bussiness because this is force buying they will not let you go unless you buy or unless you give them your card and referal... Now I know thats why whenever i receive text msg with regards to credit card I say.... a BIG NO....!!!!

I never give too much attention to these kinds of text scams. There are a lot of these free offers, announcements and invitations coming from well-known sources and organizations persuading you to respond and follow what they are telling you to do. They are very tempting because it involves big money but come to think of it- why do you have to give them or send them something if you have won something from them. If ever they ask you some personal details, please don't share your information. Better not to entertain such texts for your own good and security. These are scams and fraud activities which could be reported anytime to our authorities if you want. There have been cases of these sort which were apprehended by our law enforcers.
