This book be Tracy Chevalier is excellent so far. I watched the movie and decided I had to read the book. What are your thoughts? If you've read the book and seen the movie do you see many differences? If you've seen the movie will you read the book? If you read the book will you see the movie?

I have read this book but I didn't know there was a movie adaptation of it. The book was loaned to me by a friend and I have enjoyed reading it. It was an eye opener for me about how life was lived in the past. I felt the pain of the girl, having to leave her home and try to live with another family as a maid.

I found the movie slow and not as good as i thought it would be. My favorite book from this author is "Falling Angels". I was very impressed by the book and thats why i saw this movie, Girl with the pearl Earring. Even though it is more famous a book, i still like falling angels better.
