There are so many to choose from... The Buffy-verse, Blade, Van Helsing, Ann Rice's Lestat, Jim Butcher's "Dresden Files" et al... which is YOUR favorite and why? I'm a vampire lover since the old "Dark Shadows" days... so please share your thoughts.

I like the Anita Blake books by Laurell K. Hamilton. There's a lot of action... a lot of sensuality. Her writing style isn't as poetic as Anne Rice... but her characters are interesting.

The Dresden files, definitly. Haven't tried reading a lot of other ones, but I really love the Dresden files. Now, the way Harry Dresden treats the vampires there might not be any one left by the end of the series :-)
The vampires aren't the main reason I like them though, it's the whole package, vampires, wizards, demons, sarcastic comments and generell snarkiness.

Anne Rice is the vampire's mothers like Bram Stocker is the father.
I think that Anne Rice's books are become not very good movies.
But Dracula by Bram Stocker is become an excellent movie.... Dracula by Frencis Ford Coppola is one of my fav films!! I adore it!!!!

I love 'em all !
I've read everything Anne Rice ever wrote, everything Laurell K. Hamilton ever wrote, The entire series by Kim Harrison, and I have the Dresden files waiting for me..
There are a few more books I'm going to order, I love this genre.
