What do you prefer more, a multiplayer, or singleplayer game and why?

it really depends on the game.
If it is on computer, by far multiplayer over the internet. It gives you someone to talk too :)

I love multiplayer, but single-player is more fun for me. I loke seeing how the various story lines work out and just exploring these whole new worlds by myself. I just love going through levels and just finding out the best way to beat them or what amazing things I can do. I also love following the plot of games which is an aspect that multiplayer usually does not have.

I prefer singleplayer and have no real interest in multiplayer games.
I like to be able to quit when I want or to restart if I screw up too bad, and I can do that if it just me and the computer... and the computer doesn't care if I do.

Multiplayer. I want the most out of a game and make it worth my money. Also a single campaign can only be enjoyed so many times. A multiplayer experience can be enjoyed over and over again and also its very hard to give a friend the same feeling you got from doing something from a game without them actually being there.

I love single player game more because when it comes to video games, I like to play on my own and according to my own schedule. I would feel very stressed if I play with someone else and that would probably stress me out! *laughs*.

it depends on game genre. I can't find a pleasure playing games like Tekken or Soul Calibur alone but when it comes to RPG I don't like their online versions:P Sports games are multilayer only for me but I don't usually play in them. Action games are good in a single player mode, though.

well, for just some fast entertainment, i'd opt for singleplayer, but when im really looking fo some serious time absorbing thing, i'd go for multiplayer, as these games change over time, but they take some time to really start off, so its not something for when i want to just play quickly.

I would of course prefer a multiplayer for it can play a variety of things than just playing one thing at a time.

Hi,
Iprefer singleplayer games as I like to be able to pick up wre I left off and play at my own speed. I have also noly had bad luck when trying to play multiplayer games on line. I never seem to be able to conect to the server properly.

Totally depends on the game and my mood. I'm an only child with few friends etc. So if I'm just looking for a game to play, I prefer RPG's. I just spent 200 hours on beating Persona 3. To me RPG's give me more "bang for my buck" Compared to like a fighter, sports game, or shooter which I will beat quickly in probably less than a week or so.
When my friends come over though I do like to have a few multiplayer games we can play.
And with online play that changes alot too. I currently play FFXI and WoW and then there's things like battlenet, xbox live, and the NDS's WIFI capabilities which make it easier to enjoy multiplayer games even if you don't have many gamer friends in real life.
Generally though I have to say I prefer RPG games above all the rest.

Definietly singleplayer games as I like to get lost in a game and multi just doesn't do that for me. Also my favourite type of games are usually action/adventure/puzzle type games like Tomb Raider, so there is no option for multi with that type.
