I don't think ratings effect how much you earn directly, but I would say they go effect it indirectly.
When you have a higher number, it shows that you already take the time to post high quality responses on here. And the more quality to a discussion, the more your earn. And when other users see your high rating they are more likely to respond to more of your discussions, earning them more traffic, which will also help you earn. More people will want to be friends with you if you have a higher rating, and you'll have more people likely to respond to your discussions, and you'll have more discussions to respond to.
But if you go from an 8 to a 10, that isn't going to earn you any earnings. That'll just make it more likely that you will earn more in the long run.

Hey LouieWpHs04. Ratings affect your star rating and I am almost sure that if you have many stars, you will be paid a bit much for your discussions and responses, so rate my response with "+" please. :)

Well, it's a vicious circle. Positive ratings (awarded by other myLot members, based on the quality of your posts) will lead to a higher star rating. Apart from a personal satisfaction of having a higher number on your star, it's a practical fact... ex. - with a 9 star rating you can upload a number of 27 photos while with a 10 star rating you can upload 30, more pictures meaning more money.
All this in terms of stimulating quality of postings here on myLot.
Take care and keep up the good work.

Well, I didn't mean it like that! I meant it as a general thing. Like if you put exactly the same amount of effort in, posted exactly the same amount of messages, uploaded exactly the same amount of pictures, etc. Get what i'm saying now? Although this is a bit late to respond, but looking at your post count it looks like you would still be around to respond!
