Has anyone out there been literally stabbed in the heart?

I am asking because on July 4, 1996 I was attacked by a stranger in New Orleans , he was trying to rape me and he said I've already killed 3 women and then he stabbed me. I died for a short time and had open heart surgery. I read a medical article that says only 1% of people stabbed in the heart live. I'm one of them.

It's funny how many people told me how lucky i was. Let me tell you I felt anything but lucky. It was the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life it was like having an elephant stand on my chest for 6 months. Or give birth for 6 months. was very painful and still is my ribs over my heart did not heat right. No they haven't caught him that I know of the police only came by my house once to show me pictures then I never heard from them again.

I have never been stabbed but you are very lucky to have survived such an attack. I can relate to your pain as I had open heart myself and the bones never healed correctly. The pain is beyond what most people can endure. Good Luck friend, you are blessed to be alive!
