I have decided to break down and use some of the venison that we have in our freezer. I am thawing out a package that says deer tenders on it. Does anyone have an idea for something I can make with it? It has been so long since i used ti I don't know what to make. I also have some ground venison if someone has a recipe using it. I would appreciate it also.

Hello lilybug....
Venison can be treated as though it were beef. Any recipe you have that you like using beef can be used for venison. I like mine with fried onions and baked potatoes. To determine when it is cooked properly done just watch for the juices to run clear. (no color) This works for any meat.

The package with tenders on it is deer tenderloins. They are AWESOME! NOT something to use in a stew! They are best lightly breaded and fried with onions.
I always used our venison like beef. I used the ground meat in hamburgers or spaghetti. Just make sure you watch close when you are cooking venison. It is verry lean, so it can burn real easy.
