my daughter went for her six month shots yesterday. now today you can see read marks were the shots were and a little bump under it which i know is normal but her whole thigh looks bigger. both of them look like she gained 5 lbs. in just her thighs while she took a nap. what could it be? i called her dr.'s but the dr. nor a nurse was there they said not to take chances to take her to the er. is it something serious? has anyone expirienced this before?

Well it could be normal swelling if she has chunky little thighs they might be more suseptable to a little more swelling then normal. if she seems like she is in pain then yes definitly take her to the hospital i would just keep a watchful eye on things through the corse of the day and keep a cool compress on them to helo with the swelling if it looks like it is getting worse or anything then get her to the hospital and if you dont have transportation call the ambulance

it didn't seem to bother her so i just gave it time and the swelling went down on it's own. thank god it had me worried i read about a girl that was born completely healthy until she was 17 months and got shots after that she had a feeding tube for over a year and ended up with autism. kinda spooked me but all is well now.

Well if they said take her to the ER then do it already! stop wasting time before something seriously goes wrong.
