Hi! Has anyone here played Rune Factory? It is a fantasy harvest moon, made by natsume. I just bought the game a couple of days ago, and I still confused about some things in the game, such as how to improve the relationships with the people in the town, or where can I get the animals, it's a little bit confusing...
Also, I would love to ask, which harvest moon game do you think is the best? For it's the PS one version, because it has detailed background, and I can play the game well.
Please share your opinion here, thanks

Hi! I love both Harvest Moon and Rune Factory. But I'm playing Rune Factory 2 right now. I've tried to play Rune Factory 3, but it's too complicated, too much characters and too much tasks to be done.
If you want to improve relationship with the other people in town just talk to them everyday, give them their favourite foods, and do the task they gave you.
If you want to get animal, you've to get the Pet Glove first. Then go to the dungeon to choose which animal to catch. Then rub them with Pet Glove. If you successed, they will be teleported to the barn (you must have barn before you catch any animal!).
I played Harvest Moon in GBA and Nintendo DS.
For Harvest Moon game, I prefer Grand Bazaar for Nintendo DS.

Okay, first of all, your Rune Factory questions. I've played Rune Factory the first, Rune Factory Frontier, and Rune Factory 2, so I understand these games. The easiest way to get people in town to like you is just to talk to them - simple as that. If you want them to like you faster, though, you'll need to figure out what they like and give them gifts. As for where you can get the animals, well... You're going to have to tame monsters! To do that, you'll need the Pet Glove, which you can get from Tabatha in Rune Factory, Kross in Frontier, and Cecilia in 2. Then, you need to have a barn or monster hut built, which requires wood and gold. After that, go out into the caves or dungeons and use the Pet Glove on the monsters there. If you pet them enough times, they'll become your friends. Some monsters can work for you on your farm, watering and harvesting your crops and such. Other monsters work like livestock in the regular Harvest Moon games. You can gather eggs, milk, and even honey from them - but only after you've gotten the right tools to collect it from them! Hope that cleared some things up for you, and if you have any more questions, feel free to contact me.
As for which game I think is the best... Wow, that's a tough one... I'd have to go with Magical Melody. It's simply my favorite, though I have no idea why. Maybe the cute graphics and sound effects or something... It's just adorable!

Hi,
I have never played the Rune Factory, however I have hear that it takes a little getting use to. Some people give it a great score and other give it a bad one. I think it really has to do with your taste in games. I do not think I would like it because I do not like cave crwalers.
I can not wait for the Wii Harvest Moon to come out (just a little bit longer and it will be here). That one is going to more then likley be my favorite. However right now my favorite of all time would have to be Harvest Moon 64 followed by the first Harvest Moon (on the SNES).

Hi! Yeah I got Rune Factory a few months ago; And have to agree it is a lot more confusing than the traditional Harvest Moons!
I think it's a very good game though. It has pretty much the full Harvest Moon experience, then with added dungeons and a combat mode.
My favourite Harvest Moon game was the PS1 version, as at the time that was such an addicting game!
I have played all the Harvest Moon games released in my country, but sadly never got to play Harvest Moon 64. It was never released in my country, and while I was briefly tempted to import it; I was quickly put off by the extortionate price of £55 GBP!
So maybe the best is Harvest Moon 64, but sadly I will never know!
