How many of you out there are in the same boat I am? Your child is a social butterfly, loves to join all organizations possible, and all school activities that are offered then there is you the none joiner. The type that has always been a loner who prefers their own circle of friends and is reluctant to find new things. I find myself in places that make me uncomfortable because it makes my daughter happy. I love to watch her perform and play but find it hard to relate to the other parents. The joy is always there but underscored by social anxiety. I never want to hinder her growth so will my anxiety fade with time? How did you become more social?

Hi meanangel, Just relax and be yourself. Your anxiety will fade with time. This is all new to you, but you are a good parent to be there for your daughter. Blessings.
