With most people it does. If a person is afraid to express their individuality they oftentimes dress in a very low-keyed, conservative way.
It is definitely an indicator of people's thinking and self-image.

Yes I do..or at least the way people dress reveals something about the way they feel about themselves. Dressing is a statement...do they buy into fashion trends and why? Is it fun and funky or do they feel a need to conform? When they have their own style does it show confidence...or a rebellious streak?
My Mom always said that you could tell a lot about men by the way their shoes look. She pointed out that some are dressed in fancy suits but their shoes are scuffed up and unpolished. Every time I see that I cannot help but wonder why they don't notice it. Within my Mom's every day wisdom she also said cleanliness is next to Godliness so whatever a person wears if they look unkempt and smell unclean I think we all cannot help but wonder what is going on with them and their view of themselves.
So yes...I think there is a lot in what clothing says about who we are because the outer is always a reflection of the inner. At least that is how I see it!
So long and happy Mylotting..
