Can an X really be a friend or can they ever be trusted?

My X is trying to come back into my life and I'm thinking maybe it's a good thing but I'm not sure. I don't know if I can trust him. He is saying he is being supportive while my boyfriend is away but every now and then when I DO talk to him (my X) on the phone, he'll say rude remarks about him (my boyfriend)on the phone. I'm not sure what I should do...

It's taken a while but I think my friend and I have got to the point that he can be in my life. I can take him in small doses. Eventually as time goes by, he will be in my life more. As it stands, I think it's ok.

well, since you're not that sure of his intentions..dont fully give your trust because you don't know what might happen. just continue what you're doing. maybe he really does want to be your friend again..well, just continue what you're doing and i guess by the time you'll know or somehow feel or sense his intentions :)

Well, that depends. if you two have broken up before because of a problem with trust, then there's no point trusting him again, right? It's just like going back to the beginning of your previous problem with him. But, if not then find evidence in the situation and be wise.
