What do you do on your birthday..do you work?

When I was a kid I always waited for my birthday. I coulnt wait to turn a year older. But now that I am much older, I dont care about my birthday. To me its just another day and a year older. My daughter always bakes me a cake and brings me a gift,that is so sweet of her to do that.

One thing is for sure and that is that I take the day off on my birthday. I do not believe in working on my bday so I make sure that I take off that day. It would not be a Happy Birthday if we had to work, would it? :-) Maybe we should have a Vemma party? :-) Everybody get their Vemma drinks out and celebrate your birthday. :-) I do not party on my bday. Sometimes I go away on vacations.

I am out of a job right now but if I did work I would work the day of My birthday, it is just a anothetr day to me, and I feel blessed just making it another year. again Happy Birthday!

As I've gotten older I haven't done as much for my birthday. I had to go to a night class at my college last year so I wasn't able to celebrate on my actual birthday. It's difficult trying to get the majority of my family together for a birthday due to conflicting schedules. Most of the time my family will celebrate birthdays on the weekend after the persons birthday. Actually, today we are celebrating my younger brothers birthday even though he was born on the 4th. We're going to cook a nice dinner at home and then have a piece of the cake I made for his birthday.

ohhhh!!! mine would be on a weekday! haha so i am definitely taking one day leave to enjoy it with my family! =) if my friends are too busy to celebrate with me, i wouldn't mind too! its really MY day and i should enjoy and relax, on that special day of mine! right??

Advance Happy Birthday franciscan! I don't work on my birthday every year I file a vacation leave when my birthday falls on weekdays. When I was young we used to have a birthday celebration, a party that my parents prepared for me. But with those close friends and relatives only. Then when I started working we just buy cake and cook or buy some dishes that my family can share for lunch or dinner.

I do as usual on my Birthdays. Some friends greet me with Happy Birthday. And there will be a small treat in the evening.. If there is anything to do as work I will surely do it

I dont celebrate my b'day myself it is my frnds who plaqn and call me to gimme surprises and gifts..

I don't work now, but when I did I took the next day off. now though I don't have any friends that can go out and do anything and I don't see them much anyway so this year I plan on doing something by myself, like going to a movie or I'm hoping to have money to take a trip.

well,happy birthday to you.my birthday have past.at that days,i work as usual,i forget my birthday true.but when i went to home,my parents ,my wift and my son all smile to me,and they all gave me a gift.i most like one is my son's,he buy a beautiful pipe by himself,you know,how glad i was.and then we have a good birthday paty.i love my family,in birthday,i have a good time.

I like to selibrate my birthday out of house.No making khana,no work to do at home,only for one day.I plan to eat some things extra and with my best friends.New dress with jwelory.I wish to give party to my friends

advance happy birhtday to you! well, i'm a full time mom,.. first thing we do, on my birhtday, or anyone's birthday.,, we go to church, to thank God for another year of our lives... then maybe go malling, and eat out... sometimes its just me and my daughter celebrating my birthday or her birhtday,,, but if it falls on a day that my my husband is home for vacation, then,, that's when we really celebrate... but if its just me and my daughter...we just go to church and pray...

on my birthday i would work, but i would get off earlier than i usally do ,and i would make plans, like go to the movies, go to the spa,or even take a trip, and i really don't know who started the birthday thing i think it's just a time when you are celebrating the day you were born and just have a good time on your b-day Sincerely,Shania Ebison

I have always worked on my birthday and never have taken a day off, my birthdays have always been horrible affairs for me ever since i was in grade 4. From that time till I passed out of school in grade 12 I have always had an exam falling on each and every one of my birthdays. I swear I spent so many birthday eves sitting up studying in the middle of the night just feeling sorry for myself. However the past 3 years have not been so great either, I spent one birthday eve breaking up with my girlfriend and the next sitting up in bed with a broken tailbone. However my friends do do their best to give me a great time and I must admit, I do love it !
