Another breakthrough in mobile phones is its capability to receive TV program receptions in a specific area. I used to watch some local programs through Smart's online tv STREAMING AND IT COSTS A LOT! An automatic deduction for of P15.00 for availing of the service then another P10.00/30 minutes of video streaming. Sometimes the streaming is not nice or it just hangs... but with the new TV phone I got, I can watch a local channel at no extra cost... and guess what? these phones are not expensive like those that was just launched by a local network that costs around P20,000.00.
These phones or most of these TV phones have dual slots for 2 different sim cards. SO you do not need to buy another add on for your mobile phone if you want to make use of two different mobile phone networks.
It's like an all in one phone that you can carry around because it has mp3 aside from it having a built in radio. It can also play mp4. Some have dual cameras and most of the TV phones have unlimited video and voice recording.
This phone has a mini sd memory card that you can replace to a 2gb so that you can store more mp3s.

Wow, it sounds like they have come a long way with these phones. I had one a couple of years ago you could watch some tv on but it was kind of like trying to watch a youtube video on dial up. Very frustrating!! If I could find one that was also a PDA I might actually consider trying it. What cell providers are offering them?

Hi Mehale!
Actually there is no particular network offering these TV phones. These phones are made in China and are being sold in different gadget shops here in the Philippines and other Asian countries. So far, my TV phone is doing fine. The analog built in TV is just fine. The image or video being shown is synchronized with the what you see on your TV... So you wouldn't have any problems like slow video streaming like in YouTube.
