Do you have to be rich to be happy?

I, personally, believe sort of the opposite. I think that money is less important than being truly happy in your career, life, and ability to make a difference on the planet. I'd rather have a job where I can exist comfortably, but not extravagantly and love going to work every day, than be making six figures working a job that gives me ulcers and gray hair.
I don't think you should have to settle for misery for the sake of money, and I think that I have been my happiest often when I had very little money at all.
Money certainly isn't the only thing which can produce happiness.
