When you travel, do people think your accent is sexy?

Nobody thinks they have an accent until the go somewhere else and everyone tells them they do, lol. But I have noticed that some accents are considered sexier than others. For instance I think an Irish accent is like the sexiest ever, just hearing it makes me all weak! Since moving back to the Southern US (after having lived here for like 3 years and then going back home to Northern US for 10 years) and I totally got the accent back (or so people tell me). I noticed that people from other places seem to think my Southern accent is really sexy, to me of course... I don't sound like I've got an accent. So that got me to thinking about accents. Do you have an accent that people tell you is sexy? Where are you from?

I am from Chile, an I live in US now, and of course I have a marked accent, in here is cool (I am in Florida), and also in this town are students from everywhere, so it is just another accent...
I got a couple of guys that said my accent is sexy... not much though

EVERYONE seems to love the Irish accent I find. Other Irish that travel say the same, so yes the answer is that my accent is deemed ultra - sexy abroad! I come from Dublin but don't find that accent particularly nice, I prefer the Cork accent from Ireland and I love the South African accent.

Yes it is a great one! I dated someone with such a hot Irish accent, I never cared what he was saying, it all sounded great to me, lol.

I got a rather confusing accent. I have been told I am Danish, English, Italian, or Scottish, you take your pick. I do not know if my accent is sexy, but people just like it.
I just like the Southern accent and since I pick up accents quite well, if I lived down south, I would sound like a Southerner in no time, you-all.

I definitely got an accent but not exactly Hong Kong accent (that's really terrible and my English would have killed me if I had that). I tend to pick up different languages and their accents really fast. I have a bit of an American accent (still don't sound nothing native). My boyfriend thinks that's funny (rather than sexy I guess). I really love British accent though and I would love it if I could pick that up one day!

I am from Oregon and people say I have an accent but I just sound like every other oregonian. What makes me go weak in the knees is a southern accent! lol. I have a friend who lives in Texas and he always makes me giggle when he talks lol. A really heavy southern accent I can't really understand but it sounds really kewl! lol.

well, im from the states, but i live in the netherlands now. when i was living in france, some people thought my accent was cute, others were just annoyed that i spoke french with a slightly american accent. i think it all depends on the person. i personally think a lot of accents are sooo sexy. i agree with you on the irish thing, but i really like a lot of them.

Nope, Im from India and it isnt evident to us, but we do seem to have a very wierd sort of English accent, thought i would say the way we talk Hindi would be really cool
