I'M a french canadian. When you don't know that language, it, kinda hard to learn. And we can't really translate things on mylot because you will know how to write it, but not how to speak it.
The best tips i can give you it,s too take some classes. After that, to be better, listen to songs in french or try to listen to some tv or other things on the net.
After you will started your classes, just send me a message and I will send you some french website :)

I have learned French for a few years. It indeed is not as difficult, just that you have to recite a lot of grammar and change of verbs (not as regular as English) during the learning. But if you are learning it for conversational or visiting purpose, it's not really hard. Just practice the oral more because the "r" sound is difficult to make.

hi monica! i think it would be good for you to enrol in foreign language schools if you really want to learn. french is quite a difficult language to learn, so you will need the guidance of a tutor for correct diction. for me, i would want fookien classes...buhuhu so that i could converse with my in-laws...

Bonjour!Ca va bien?Je mappelle peanutjar est je parle un peu de francais.lol:)Translatation:.....Hello!How are you?My name is peanutjar and i speak some french.Lol:)French is quite hard to learn because of the pronounciation of the words.France is a different kind of french than here in canada. They have different meanings and the sound of the words they say as us are pronounced(hearing)differently somewhat.I learned french because i moved to a french speaking place and made myself learn it.My mom and family on her side are pure french and on my dads side are pure english, lol.I aslo watch t.v in french. If i were you i would watch t.v on the french channel if you have one because its easier that way to at least pick something up.Its not hard to understand them when its something simple and you see pictures that go with it,also books(magazines). But the most forsure way is to be around someone that speaks this language because you will pick it up alot faster.Etc"Bonjour=Hello,Salut=Goodbye,Livre=book,Television=Television(same),Peanut=Peanut,Lundi=Monday,Mardi=Tuesday,Mecredi=Wednesday,Jeudi=Thursday,Vendredi=friday,.Samedi=Saturday,Dimanche=Sunday:1=une,2=deux,3=trois,4=quatre,5=cinq,6=six,7=sept,8=huit,9=neuf,10=dix.Just thought i would help some, lol:):)

As with any language, it's important to practice your listening and verbal skills (and writing if you so choose). I learned French originally in school, but it was moving way too slowly. So I decided to learn French, the language, sans the writing (for now). There are plenty of French radio and television access online. I watch French news online to learn the language, some words, and current events. But more importantly, I am exposed to the culture and the correct pronunciation of the language.
Good luck, French is a great language to learn.

Sorry, I don't speak French, I do have quite some French Customers, we would normally use English to communicate with each other.
Hope you could find one soon who could teach you French.
