Himalayas is one of my dream hiking place. Lot of my friends have been there. And some even twice. Oh but I don't have the money to fly there now. I hope I can go there before I am getting too old to enjoy it.
It's not just the beauty of nature that attracts me so. It's also the culture & custom in tibet. The geological structure of Himalayas. Most of all, the challenge to hike on the highest mountain in the world. Everything sounds so new & exciting to me!!

I like to Hike in the woods. Also National Parks, wilderness areas, and parks.
I grew up in New England and did a lot of hiking in the White Mountains National Park. They have a great hut system. My family and I would go on "hut-hopping" trips in the summer. And with the summer camp I went to, we went on hikes in the Whites also.

I live in the mountains so all of my hiking has been there. I hiked part of the Appalachian Trail a few years ago and it was great. Now that I have a child, we tend to stick to the easier trails. We enjoy hikes that lead to waterfalls. We've been to several in Georgia and North Carolina.

National Parks are a great place to hike but when I can't to one, I am happy hiking on the trails in and around my area or in the woods.
