I actually don't switch my mobile off at night. I wanted to be in touched whenever certain circumstances occur or for emergency cases you know. ;)

I agree, you never know what's gonna happen. My parents always turn their phones off then the next day they complain about unreceived messages from my brother in the Philippines. And I'm like, well you know there is a 7 hour difference it's pretty obvious that messages can come at anytime especially in an unexpected hour here in England midnight here is daytime there.

Nope, I don't switch off my mobile phone before going to sleep, I usually use my mobile phone as my alarm clock to wake me up in the morning too. I've read news about mobile bursting, but I think branded mobile phones like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, etc should be fine, right? My sister does switch off the mobile phone when she's sleeping as she's afraid of the radiation.

Hello binny29, you asked if we turn off our mobile before going to bed becaus eif it exploding or using the battery. Well, I say that I don't because it has an alarm. It's the reason why I actually get up in the morning! I know, it's sad but hey it has an alarm. Plus I have never heard of my mobile brand (samsung) exploding so I really don't think about it. Pablo

Yes I turn mine off before going to bed and also if I am home for awhile I turn off. We have a home phone so need ot have cell on. My kids only have a cell phone so they are on 24 hours a day. The only way to reach them. Lots of people that is all they have is cell phones any more.

No, my cellphone is on all the time. Unless I change the battery, otherwise I won't turn it off. As it can't wake me up automatically next morning if I turn it off.

I just put my mobile phone in silent mode than having it turned off. Even if I'm at work, my phone is in silent mode. I'm used to that setup than turning it off.

NO I never switch off my mobile phone when going to sleep. Rather every person who works under me is aware that i am available at any time and they can contact me whenever there is need. This leaves them with no excuses and they know they have to perform. As far as bursting is concerned i think its a gone issue now and i hardly care about it.

Ohh, thanks for sharing. I don't put off my phone when I go to bed. I make it a point to get in touch with my family and friends as long as I can. When I am not feeling well, I rarely switch it off too. Well, I might as well practice it, safety must really come first!

nope i dont usually switch off my mobile before going to bed. coz someone might call me in the middle of the night or there might be an emergency or something. but sometimes even if my phone rings i wouldnt hear it at all haha! but if i were to receive an sms while i'm sleeping, i won't bother to wake up- i'll just check it the next morning.

No because I might miss calls if I did, especially if I forgot to turn it back on. I recently had an important work call in the morning so I would have missed that if it had been off.

No Way...Mobile is not a mobile early morning...Its an alarm clock..Going to bed with switched off mobiles may lead to unemployment..coz you wont reach office on time for sure..and if you dont then your boss dont remain your boss now..he becomes the devil..

I don't switch off my phone, but I set it to the lowest volume so none of us would get startled should it rings, or if someone send me a text message in the middle of the night.

cellphone -
cellphones are good tool for communication
I do not switch off my cellphone when I go to bed. I use my cellphone as an alarm clock. I do not have a traditional alarm clock. and I do not use wrist watches. I do not charge my cellphone for more than one hour since due to the lots of news regarding defective batteries. what cause the bursting of the mobile phone in india in the last few months?cellphones are necessary. and sometimes in my line of work we can be called to work in the middle of the night. we are housed near the plant so as we can be called upon even in the middle of the night. well I know you are merely concern of your safety and that is a wonderful habit. be safe friend.

No, I never switch it off. It's just because I set my phone as my alarm. It is quite safe, just put it far enough from yourself, at least to avoid radiation

I do the opposite, I put it to loud mode because I'm a heavy sleeper and I use it as my alarm. :)
