why there s a colored star for some users

i m seeing a starred persons when i respond to any discussion. i would like to know what does the star mean. why s it not there for me. and why is it there for some. what to do togain the star..

You get a star when you reach 100 posts. The number inside the star is what matters. People can rate you discussions with the - and the + on the right. Depending on how good they rate you is the number you get. So if you post good discussions, your number will be higher

You'd get a star after you reach your 100th post. The number in the star indicates your rating. People can rate your post with + or - . I'm not sure though if it affects your earnings.

color of the star is not important and number on that matters today only i got 3 numbered star i really dont know why i got that may be for crossing 100 discussions
