Good and bad exists side by side in our lives. It is upto you to distinguish between them and choose the good ones. Good habits, good companion, listening to parents, respecting the elders and listen ing to their advice - are all tools which help you mould a man of good character. In childhood days there were plenty of people to guide us including our teacher. Now due to busy life, no one spends time for all these. When you lose the sense of direction, listen to the parents, they are the best guides. They may be educated or not, but essential principles of life - they are well aware.

If the parents are pushing their children towards bad, then they are not responsible parents. Not only they are not responsible, they are digging their own grave. It is a disgrace to their family to have rotten apples. So it is the parent's direct responsibility to teach good things to the children (even if they are indulged in excess drinking, excess smoking, extra marital affairs), at least they can reform themselves first, before they teach good things to the children.
