Hi molusk. Nope, it is not bad to take a bath after a meal especially if you are just going to take a bath with a shower. There is no scientific basis in this regard that will prove to be bad. However, if you are going to swim after taking a meal, then that might cause some stomach cramps, which can be fatal and hazardous.
Have a nice day and God speed!

Now the "experts" are saying it is OK to swim after eating so presumably a bath is OK, too, but I do really prefer taking a bath or shower first thing in the morning, before eating. I think that enjoying the lovely warm water after eating would make me sleepy.

Well I've heard it said, If you go swimming after you eat, you can get cramps and drown. So I'd suggest not to fill the bathtub more than about 6 inches. If you do get cramps and pass out, your not going to slump down and go under water, thereby filling your lungs and drowning. One cannot be too careful, can One!

Eating makes the blood run to your belly and that takes blood away from your head and that makes you sleepy and if you're sleepy when you take a bath you might drown. Whew. That was a lot of words!

My mom always tells me to take a break of 10-15 mins after my meal before I go bathing.. I don't know why she says that, but I think she's quite right in it.. U need to take sm rest after u have ur meals, and going bathing immediately after ur meals is not good, as u need to flex a lot of muscles while bathing.. U may not feel the effect at present, but u will surely feel it at sm point in ur life.. So, try chaning it asap...

Ummm not that I am aware of. I haven't really taken a bath after eating a meal. I usually wait an hour or two before taking a shower or hot bath.

I'm not sure whether is there a side effect but I normally don't take bath immediately after a meal. I would wait for a couple of hours after a meal before taking a bath. I feel uneasy taking bath immediately after a meal.

Hello molusk.
I don't think that taking a bath after meal is bad health-wise. I often take my bath after breakfast and after dinner. And I don't feel any bad effects of doing that. Regards :)
