Hockey... did anyone realize the season started? Does anyone care????

The NHL opened their regular season this month, witout much fanfare. Now I understand that the baseball playoffs have started and football (both college and the NFL) have just gotten underway.
But does anyone even care about professional hockey any longer? I hardly even read about hockey any more and when I watched my favorite team play this week, I didn't even realize they had some new players on the roster that were stars on other teams.
Does anyone watch the NHL anymore? Does anyone even care?

YES! I watch and I care. Hockey has been falling in recent years but the past couple have attracted new viewers. In my town Ive noticed a large surge in people interested in hockey again. Going to sports bars in Morgantown, if there is a Penguins game on, that is gonna be on the big screen no matter what football game is on(unless its the WV Mountaineers or the Steelers). I am a huge Pens fan and Sydney Crosby and Malkin will take us farther into the playoffs this year!
