We were recently adopted by a dumped pit bull about 4 months old. We've done everything that worked for our 7 other dogs concerning housebreaking (taking up the food & water at night, taking her outside every few hours, taking her "presents" outside & showing them to her, etc.). If you raise your voice about it, she cowers down and goes and lays down for hours. I beginning to consider buying stock in a paper towel company because we go through so much!! If anyone has any suggestions short of hiring the Dog Whisperer, please let me know.

It sounds like she has been thought so much already. I bet with alot of time and patiences. She will be the best dog you ever owned. Try keeping her on a leash hooked to your hip. That way when ever she starts to sniff. Or squats. You can take her outside. When she finally doe sgo outside. Praise her for a job well done. After awhile you will see a big difference.

There's no telling what happened to her before we found her! Thankfully she is a sweet dog and plays well with the others. Thanks for the leash tip I will try it.

if you want your dog obey you, try to work with him, learn him to listen you just with your voice...
