We are learning now that our environment is in danger. The global warming and the pollution are common topics nowadays.
What are you willing to do to help the environment?
I try to use less plastic bags, for instance. And saving water is a rule at my home.
What about you?

Well theres a lot of thing we can do to help the environment but the first thing that needs to be address is global warming. At least 10 years back enviromentalist warned that we where heading in the direction we are going now. All the sudden now the government is worried about the hole in the ozone that should tell us something. We need to really start finding and using all renewable resources we can before the ozone totally disappears and we all have to live underground or in bubbles.

Yep, plastic is one of the inventions of chinese (in-case you don't know yet!LoL) and they are one of those non-biodegradable materials.
I set-up a pit just on the back of our house, it is where I put biodegrable materials to either burn them or just dump them there and use as composte. We also use less electiricty, we turn and switch off appliances whenever we don't use them. As for water, the bills here are also high so that's a good excuse to conserve them and use wisely!;)

I do a few things around the house that will help the environment even if only in a small way. I recycle everything that can be recycled. The less we have to make new the better really. I also like to conserve on water and also on electricity. We have low flow toilets and the energy efficient light bulbs too. We are able to walk to work so we have drastically cut down on the amount of gas we have to put in the car. When the time comes to replace any major appliance or the furnace we will be getting energy efficient ones.
None of these things are hard to do and they don't take any more time. If everyone would do a little I think we could save a lot of our environment.

Thanks for starting this very meaningful discussion.
:)
I am also try to save water.
We recycle in my home.
I try to remember to use both sides of paper for taking personal notes.
For wrapping up my artwork, I use as little bubblewrap as possible and sometimes no bubblewrap.
Instead I use newspapers for packing.
I try to re-use containers that foods like yogurt come in, if I have a use for them.
I look forward to reading everyone elses ideas, too.
