So Much to Real On Ebay Before Making My Move

I spent most of yesterday reading Guide after Guide on Ebay relevant to the products I want to sell. In my case, old magazines. I acquired more knowledge that I expected as there are so many knowledgeable people in the Community section of the Ebay site. I encourage everyone who wants to sell on Ebay, to spend considerable time in the Community section of Ebay reading Guides, Reviews, Questions and Answers, Help boards, and learn all you can. I am way delayed in my goal of selling on Ebay, since between my job and other obligations, I have limited time to read on Ebay, but I see that I have to do this, since I come across something new on Ebay that makes me feel I am not quite ready to sell.

I've been selling on ebay for years and and can tell you that not only should you be getting information on ebay but research other sites that deal with old magazines. I'm telling you now you will more than likely not get what they are worth on ebay. I've sold some very old movie magazine in excellent condition from the 40's and got less than $2 for a lot of 4 of them. You might alwo want to check out ioffer. It's another auction site that I've been having better luck with and it doesn't cost to list auctions. Good luck to you.

Thank you kindly for the comment. I will also check out Ioffer and see what that is about. I know that in the past, prior to the Internet age, people read magazines from cover to cover. Apparently more than books, although, my dad was an avid book reader and had quite an extensive library. I know books don't do good on Ebay, at least from what I have been reading and hearing from others.
I am curious as to why Ebay groups magazines and books together in the same category, when they are two different mediums. Any thoughts on that?

Books and magazines are not very popular on eBay these days, having tried to sell a huge collection of aviation magazines that belonged to my late Dad. Sometime syou are better off taking them to collectors fairs and selling direct, particularly when you consider the postage costs involved on eBay
