Parents Pimping Their Kids on Internet

As distasteful as this subject is, I have been hearing so much about it recently that I just had to put my two cents in. I recently watched a TV show about a parent who had pimped out her little girl on the internet. It was disgusting the way she kept trying to excuse her actions. The internet is known for attracting child predators-that is a given, but it is shameful to know that there are parents out there who actually participate in this type of activity. There was a report on the ABC News website about this growing problem today. A spokesman for the FBI related the fact that due to this growing situation they have had to modify their sting tactics by posing as parents who are willing to pimp out their kids. The woman that was on the TV show was already in custody for her crime, and I hope they capture all of these people and imprison them also.

Wow, I had never heard about this. I do not watch television and have not heard anyone speaking much about this. Whatever these parents are doing with their own children has got to be the lowest. How could you pimp your own innocent children. How come these parents don't feel sorry for their kids being subjected to such sickness.
I don't understand how someone could be that cold, just for money. It seems like the more technology advances, the sicker, the sickos get. Children are a blessing and should be cherished and treated with the utmost love and respect. They should never be used as someones meal ticket.

There are many people who are amoral, Rozie, and do these heinous crimes with no sense of shame or guilt whatsoever. I think this is one of the worst things any parent could ever do to a child whose very life depends on them.

That is just terrible. I don't understand why and how parent's can do something like this. I'm glad she was captured and is in custody for her crime. They need to keep parent's like this in jail for a really long time.

You are absolutely right, sg, and they should never again be allowed to have custody of their children!

What are these people thinking? How could you do something like that? People are just doing such weird things. I can't imagine putting my child in that situation.

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have kids.

That's right, magilives, because they are unfit in every sense of the word. Some parents look upon their children merely as property, to do with what they will.

I am shocked...I have never heard of this...but while in shock I guess I need to remember that this world is made up of every kind of person imaginable...from angels to kooks to criminals..It just disappoints me to think that any parent or adult in charge of a child would even have this type of thought, let alone act on it...sigh....I am saddened by this behavior and hope they find a way to curb it.

I believe that there has always been these kinds of people around, rx4life. It is just so much easier to practice their perversions with all of the new technology. I've heard that this is even more common in some foreign countries.

There are sick sick deranged people out there! I'm still looking for that deserted island to live on where I wont have to be ashamed to be a part of this society anymore and wont have to be ashamed to be a part of a race of beings that does this type of stuff!

You would probably go stir-crazy if you were limited to living on a deserted island, angemac, but, you are right, there are plenty sick and evil people to go around.

That is disgusting. How a parent could put their child into harms way is beyond me.

That is beyond disgusting. I also hope they capture all of these people but unfortunately, while they'll likely get some of them they'll probably never get them all. How in the world could anyone do that to their own child? I guess I'll never really get to the point where nothing shocks me although it seems I should have reached it long ago. Sadly, the more our technology grows the more opportunities there will be for the sick people of the world.

Hello!
What is happening to our world? It seems like everyday the news we read and heard are getting worst and horrible. Parents are the one who should be protecting their child from the outside danger but it's disheartening to hear that it's the parent who is exposing her child to danger. Child predators will always be there and will never be eradicated because there are parents out there who would pimp their child for money. It's sickening! I hope she will be away from her child for good.
