Are titles of respect applicable to public officials and religious leaders? We always heard the title honorable, excellency, reverend and many more.Do you think they are applicable at this age and time. There must be a law to prohibit the use of those titles because it only uplift the spirit of the officials and religious leaders. The lowly citizens are left feeling degraded and uncared, because if you will analyze the stories of corruption and scandals, you will realize that you as an ordinary citizen has more dignity than those so called public servants. What do you think?

Everybody has his own title, not only those who occupy high positions. We use title to distinguish a person like a name. If we do not know the name of a certain person, we address him or her Sir of Madam. Those who are addressed honorable or excellency are just few and yes they are titles of respect in front of the public but individually, you may call them what you want and you may not even respect them at all and that's up to you. We cannot take away politeness from many people because that's a sign of civilization.

Exactly, that civilization has make humans into animals.Remember the wars did not stop even through the advancement of civilization, diplomacy is invented, peace negotiations and war is still there. These leaders don't deserve to be called by their titles, war can be prevented if they are sincere in their advocacy for peace.Religious leaders too, they have their holy war.
