What do you think about pierced belly buttons?

Just recently one of my close friends got her belly pierced. I mean I'd say it takes quite some guts to get it done plus the healing period can be pretty nasty. So I was just wondering what you all think about it? :-)

I've had my belly button pierced, and it hardly hurt at all, although I do enjoy piercings and tattoos.
I think that they look great on most people - guys and girls, but not on really young girls, which I think is just gross.
Pre-pubescent kids shouldn't have mobile phones, short skirts, make up, high heels or piercings other than their ears in my opinion =P
As far as healing/infection, it's not bad at all provided that the piercing was done by a professional and cleaning and after care is done correctly.
I work as a body piercer with my mother, and it's very rare for someone who looks after a piercing or tattoo properly to have problems with it.
