what do you think is the best brand of laptop to buy?

I prefer Dell for desktop and laptops. Right now I have a Dell XPS M1210. Previously, I've had Dell desktops. A friend gave to my kids a used IBM Thinkpad and that works pretty well too. Friends of mine have purchased Sony and HP and I think they didn't have any problems with them.

I have a Dell laptop and I am satisfied with it. Although it is not very light, but it is not so heavy anyway. Compare to the harddisk and ROM, I have no complain about it with the price.
