A penny saved is a penny earned. My husband and I try to save money, then an emergency happens, then goes what we saved. But we do make an exception to our cash. We look at our money carefully and pull out star notes (which if you don't know is a reprinted serial number bill and are worth money to collectors.) We look at all of our change also. I recieved a penny, I was able to have graded, that was an error penny, that is worth $3,000 it is put away. We look at it as our retirement money. We will hold onto it and the many other coins and bills we have collected and one day sell them, but if the ecomony collaspes, we still have pure silver, since we only keep coins, that are older than 69, though anything after 64 has less silver, than those before 64.
90% of what we have are earlier than 64, so that is the money I save. I look at it as, places won't take it.(though they will)That way I am never tempted to spend it, I will borrow money from family first.

We use those fluorescent bulbs, we buy no name products if they are the same quality as the regular brand. We do not subscribe to the newspaper as we can get our news from the Tv. I use vinegar instead of fabric softener. I make my own meals from scratch, we buy the cheapest brands, we only go to restaurants on vacation, on birthdays, and on special events. We buy ink supplies, papers, etc in bulk. We seldom get processed foods. I subscribe to only two magazines. We have cable, internet, and home phone but have them in one package rather than three separate packages and save money that way.
My husband also saved money, invested in stocks so we do not have a mortgage and the big items are paid for.

I am trying really hard to save money but its so difficult for me to do so. I have a very hard time to save money. Its funny because each week I tell myself that im going to save at least half of my paycheck but by the time I know it my money is compltley gone. But I have gotten a little better ive been giving my mom $30 a week for the past month I figure if its out of site then out of mind and as long as I have money I wont think about it which I havent.

I have always saved money. The best thing I do is get I needs out of the way, that doent leave much for spending the the wants pile up and wait. After a while the wants change anyway so I saved money and space. I also save in my checking account by rounding up. Like loose change and a bit of overdraft prtection.I am not making a pay check so I am using some of my savings.

I always try to save money.. but each time I try, I always fail. Maybe because I get too distracted with lots of things that I want .. instead of saving my money, I spend it for something that is not really useful. I have to really change and be thrifty.. I also worry if I don't have any cash in my wallet or any savings, that is why as little as the amount, I still save it.. :)

Hello there. I do save money. I try to save 20% of my salary every month. I do not like the idea of living paycheck to paycheck. I save money through insurance savings plans and in the bank. I have 2 bank accounts. One is for spending and the other one is for saving.
