I would tend to agree with Croquetilla. While subdomain hosting can provide your company with a begining internet business presence it is certainly not going to rank as high as a real domain would. There has also been some talk about domains such as .info,.biz, etc. having a disadvantage over .com domains. I would say the relatively small additional cost of having a real .com domain will be well worth it.
