I have never heard of double knitting, I can't even single knit, it sounds complicated, I had a little look on the net to see actly what it was, there is a couple of things there but I thought this one might be a good one for you to start on...

Yea, I saw that yesterday when I was looking for patterns. I thought it was so cute!!!
About you not being able to single knit. It is pretty easy. I taught myself by reading online tutorials. And from asking questions to people I knew that knit. Im left handed and so i had to turn everything I read online backwards for me to do it. I tried right handed and it just wasnt going to happen....so the only thing I learned from some one else so far is how to purl cuz doing that backwards from what I read online wasnt working hehe, and how to slip stitch. I learned how to double knit online. in one of my last discussions someone posted a great tutorial. You should check it out.
If you are interested in learning this is a great site(its where I learned):

but I warn you...you will get hooked and you wont be able to stop! :D Good luck and happy knitting!
