Thank you for your courtesy and I wish everyone did! Actually, I lock mine in the trunk of the car when I'm not using it, as I do not wish to be bothered with it myself, much less bother others. There are a few things in life so important that one cannot wait a little while to have them, but in my view, a phone call is not one of them.

Yes, I am always careful to turn my phone to silent before a movie or a class, or anything where I think it might be a big distraction to others. It can be annoying when people just leave their phone turned up and let it ring in the middle of things like that. :P

I always try my best to turn my mobile phone to silent mode while I am out for a movie in a cinema. There will be always a notice to advise us to have our mobile phone silent before any show is started.
It is really a nuisance to hear ringing of mobile phone here and there especially during the most interesting part of the show.
If I was to expect any important incoming calls I could always set my phone in a vibration mode and then to attend the call outside the cinema.

I watch movies at home. For last many years I have not gone out to watch a movie. It is very costly and you have to take out at least four hours from schedule to watch a movie. I watch at home at my convenience and of course without turning my mobile to silence mode.

I will always remember to put my phone to silent mode whenever I'm in the cinema. It's a basic courtesy for doing that.

Yes i do turn the mobile in silent mode as it once happened to me that i forgot to turn the mobile in silent mode and one of my friends called me when i was watching movie, and it rang so loud that i thought it must have been heard by everyone in the movie theater. At that time i felt like i am a fool as everyone was giving me a rude look, after this incident i always remember to keep the mobile in silent mode before the movie starts.

Turning it to silent mode is a must, it's kinda rude if your phone rings in a silent scene from a movie -peace:0
