I do not eat organic foods. I go to the local co-op store just to buy some spices there is all. I avoid the healthy and or organic foods for the most part. I am a junk food junkie actually.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Most lands here have pesticides. The real organic lands are owned by some institutions and they consume what is grown. A few years ago, a Japanese organization was teaching farmers to convert the cultivable land from non-organic to organic, in phased manner. But they could not succeed. Now several agencies are engaged in teaching the farmers as to how to prepare their land for producing organic food. It has not yet caught the attention of the farmers in a big way.

I used to be a vegetarian, so all I ate was organic foods, but because of some health issues and my current boyfriend, I started eating some meat. It really has nothing to do with him, but I like to say because of him I went to the Dr. and found out that I had some health issues. But I do prefer to buy organic food since it's healthier for us.

I don't specifically buy only organic foods. Honestly, I don't buy any of them at all. I think it is a big gimmic right now with the companies that produce foods, etc. They think the consumer will think it is organic, therefore healthier, but I think there is not much difference. I stopped buying and eating foods that are lower fat, non fat, fat free, I think they are all made up of chemicals that helped my liver cancer to grow. I buy cheese that is real not artificial, I like my milk low fat or skim, I don't buy a lot of generic brands b/c I am a believer that you get what you pay for. Some things I can buy in the generic brand and it will be ok, but usually it is a lesser quality and taste. That is just my opinion. I dont' speak for everyone else.

nowadays we have to be extra careful of what we buy and eat. with all the chemicals being used to maximize production there's nothing like buying and eating the organic ones. they may be a little bit expensive but in the long run it will be all worht it for our health.

I don't buy organic foods, but in the summer I do grow some of my own veggies ( wish they had spell check on here). When I do buy produce I try to wash it very very well. I am diabetic and there are so many things I can't really eat that I pretty much just stick with the things I can. It really is boring.

It seems that nothing is healthy or safe for us anymore. When I try to eat healthy I find out that even lettuce can be filled with botulism. It is scary to put anything in our mouths that comes from the grocery store. Why are food producers not more concerned with the publics health and safety. I guess it is the same old thing. Cut corners to make more money.
