when both of you think that enough is enough.
When nothing seems possible to ease the differences.
When both feel that they can't live their life together anymore.

Yes, you are right if both parties are not happy then they should not continue the relationship. They will only ended the day with fights and they will ended enemy. As the situation is near to deep, they have to talk to each other on how they will end their relationship.

I think that I agree with you on that point. When there is no more irreconcilable difference between both sides, there is no significance to be always living together to sustain the relationship, which is in fact a dying one. It is better to let go off such a long-term relationship such being the case.

I once had a five-year old relationship way back in college till we both find a job. I tried my very best to hold on and save the relationship. But situations are getting worst, love and respect were no longer as intense as we it used to, and unfaithfulness and lies are setting in. Before we totally lost each other as friends, we decided to call it quits. Love, respect, honesty, and the fire that keeps on burning are very important in a romantic relationship. If it is no longer there, even how long the relationship is, better let it go. than totally lost everything.
