How do you paste a picture on your profile?

Hi myLotters! I'm tired of being the white person on a green background with an exclamation mark above my head. I've had no problem uploading photos, I just can't figure out how to bridge the gap from uploading my pics to pasting my photos on my profile. Any Help! would be really appreciated.
